Lemon

Lemon finds its way into many applications and is practically known and used everywhere.

Originating as a hybrid derived from a cross between the bitter orange and the citron, the lemon today has its own distinct identity, despite the countless varieties found throughout the world. In Italy, Amalfi Coast lemons, Sorrento lemons and Syracuse lemons are highly prized, but Calabrian lemons also play a key role in the domestic market.

There are also many uses, starting with the more classic lemon juice and moving on to essential oils in both the food and perfume industries, lemon also finds its application in the pharmaceutical field and can also boast of being the basis of one of the world's best-known sweet liqueurs: limoncello.
